Which Apps Are You Using On Your Nextbook?

Post by Daisimae on Tue Dec 21, 2010 8:11 pm

I'm using the Kindle app, the e-Mail app and Documents To Go the most. As far as utilities, App Remover and Astro File Manager have been most helpful as well as Advanced Task Killer Pro.

All those apps, except the e-mail app were in the Power 145 download found on this site. Thanks Tipstir!

I'm trying to get the Kindle App to work (Invalid File error always!). That is very important to me. But I use QuickOffice, Drop Box, Email App, Documents to Go, AndExplorer, OfficeSuite, SlideMe, Start-Up Manager, Note Everything w/ GDocs, VLC Remote, Memory Booster. And especially Advanced Task Killer Pro.

Looking for a way to unlock or "root", and more importantly a version of Adobe Flash that will play my Hulu Plus Subscription. Then, I could be pretty darn happy!

GREAT download from this site, agreed - thanks Tipstir..... bounce

I FINALLY (after all night) got it to work. Kindle on Next3.

I uninstalled the Kindle app.

UnMounted my SD Card, put it in laptop, and opened the folder. Deleted the Kindle folder from my SD card. (VIP)

De-registered the device on the Amazon site.

Rebooted the Next3.
Inserted the SD card.

Went back in. Reinstalled the same Kindle .apk. Opened the app, registered it. (I found help that somebody said try a previous version, so I went here:
http://www.freewarelovers.com/android/app/kindle
and had downloaded 1.0.1.7xxxx older version.)

When I went into my archive. I did a long press on the book I wanted to read, not a tap. This brought up a menu. I selected "Download To Home" from the menu. When I went back to the home screen the book was there. When I tapped it to open it, it was really there. I did not get the message to remove it from the device and re-download it.

NOTE: Periodicals, Mags, Newspaper Subscriptions in archive to another device can not be done this way. I think you can order new subscriptions directly to the Next3 registered device in your Manage Your Kindle page on Amazon.

Now, want to get to the "root" of things, and figure out how to uninstall the Borders app (just to do it and save room, lol), and then on to Adobe Flash?
Exclamation
