Is my tablet dead/bricked?...

I bought an aPad.. It says MID on the box.. Mine has white plastic back, black panel for the screen and a white home button.. It has a blue led when turned on and it says on the lower right part of the screen while it boots... Ver 1.6, Firmware. 2.6.29-00236-g4f8dbbb-dirty, Build WMT2.1.1

I have read everything on every android tablet forums, and here, and I really searched and learned what my device is, and as I have learned that mine was a flytouch clone, or a generic flytouch, (or so I thought?) before I even tried to flash a rom.. The first ROM that I saw was ---'s Uberoid, which says specifically that it was tested to run on a epad/flytouch and on a generic. (Correct me if I'm wrong, should i have considered the idea that the BUILD no. that I have, ie..WMT2.1.1, was an important aspect of choosing a right firmware?) So I tried to flash it with this ROM.. I used an 8gig Transcend micro SDHC.. But as I was watching it, thinking that it was normal, it comes to the part that says "Upgrading system-file... Please wait lamer... " I was thinking that maybe I really have to wait a while. But hours passed and its still stuck there... I have tried every ROM that was recommended on every forums that were having the same problem as mine... till I finally came to the part that I saw a progress bar when I tried another ROM... I didn't know it will show a progress bar..(or is it just that ROM?) But still it stays there on that Progress bar... Now my question is, is still there any hope for my device?... Is it bricked/dead or I still just can't find the right ROM for it?... Any help will be great guys.. I don't want it to end up as a pretty paper weight... thanks, and merry xmas to ya'll...

turned off ipad.

I removed the power adapter and let the battery
drained, as advised on forums... when the
tablet turned of, i tried turning it on to see if it
really is drained.. It didnt turn on so is started
flashing it again.

I replaced the 8gig micro SDHC with a
1 gig micro SD

Flashed every rom again... Every ROM I flashed gets stuck at first upgrade loading screen.. then halts..

Im currently downloading ePad_android16_WMT2.1.1_Factory_Rom

Let's hope this works... and I'll let it be drained for 24 hours,, before i flash it tomorrow...

By the way, i have a 256 ram...

I am having the same problem with my ePad which is the same ePad as yours. When I try to flash a ROM it gets stuck on "Upgrading file-system". What should I do?

whats the progress bytemydrive? same issue on my pad either..

i have the same problem. my stock firmware was WMT2.1.1 also. ive tried to used the ePad_android16_WMT2.1.1_Factory_Rom but theres an error message sating "Not find Udisk (/dev/sda) something like that.

Those are not ePad those are aPad, gPad, oPad so many names. But that's why you can't use these ROMs because the script file is tuned to use ePad hardware settings.

@tipstir, can you help us on how we can solved this problem.

just try the tipstir's TURBO pro package. the flashing went smoothly, but after the reboot its displat the bootscreen logo then a dancing android logo appreared. nothing happens after that.

Now using this link for brand new codes the old stuff is being moved away..

your not using the correct rom on it Tipstir has posted many of them that cover almost all of the chinese tablets
