Post by joshua on Thu Dec 09, 2010 12:46 pm

I purchased the 9" novel for my wife. We have been having troube getting it to wake after is been sleeping for more than an hour. We ultimately have to hold the power button till it resets the unit to bring it back to life. Have any other of you had this problem? BTW We havent installed any 3rd part apps yet.

How you change the default settings under Settings for Screen Time out. Is it fully charged?

Do a factory reset on the device?

Settings + Privacy = Factory data reset

I tried all the obvious troubleshooting. Battery was charged. I went ahead and brought it back to BBB, was going to just exchange it but they were out of stock. I will probabaly get my wife a nook wifi or some other kind of dedicated reader. She really wants something that is appliance like with no hickups. She has done really well using my Huawei S7 but id like to stay under $200. We are starting to tighten the belt on our finances.

Everyone is even me. Way to much and a lot is over priced! If you check out China Connection where all this stuff is made. You would better flying out to China to make your purchases but then the flight would cost you a bundle. High end tablet only cost $150 USD where as the lowest is $60 bucks. Some how when it hits the USA it get doubled, or tripled the price. Nook Looks good But again unless your looking for reader with tablet features. Make sure you get one that support 3D GPL. Like the High End Archos 28, 32, 43, 70 and 101 does. But 43, 70 and 101 are price higher you get Cortex A8 1GHz all them have it but Archos throttle it down to 800MHz to save on the battery. I had ordered Archos to see how it and very quickest I've seen. But there are some issues with the WiFi. Certain WiFi Rotuers won't connect to them. The fix it to buy one to that will.
