Help - PanImage 7" Can't Connect to Home Wi-Fi

Post by Margaritaville on Sat Dec 04, 2010 10:49 am

I'm new to these tablets and not sure if I'm doing something wrong. PanImage Says "Excellent" strength. Yet, after numerous attempts of adding the Network security key from (Motorola wireless from cable Co.) and hitting connect. I continue to get "unable to connect to network". I'm about ready to send this back if I can't access internet.

I ended up resetting the PanImage back to the factory default and was able to connect without a problem. However, I probably will end up sending it back. I was hoping to mainly use it at the laundromat (2+ hours of my time) and can't get any wi-fi connections.

I cannot connect to the wi-fi network sitting in the same room with my router. It scans, has "excellent" signal, and then cannot connect to the network!! What gives?? Think this is going back, useless!

If it doesn't connect say you had taken to a place that has free Wifi if it connects there but not at your home then it's your router and the tablet not able. I would try that first. If it's the same then you know your got a DOA unit.

Unfortunately I found many of these tablets to be defective. I have this tablet though and have always had it connected successfully to my wifi network. The browsing speed is decent as well. Double check network settings on both your router and tablet.

Have been out of the Tech loop for some years raising 4 children. DOnt know what many of the acronyms mean-can anyone suggest how I go about learning what all this means so that when I visit this site i know what people are talking about and can talk intelligently about issues myself?
I own 2 laptops, 4 desktops, 2 readers, 2 cells and feel I just don't know all I could about them. Don't understand how to download firmware and other advancements that would improve performance.
I realize I'm a member of the "digital migration" age but I'm pretty sharp and willing to put in the work it takes to get up to speed. Just not sure how to go about doing that.

Hi iluvs2fish! Glad you are interested in making something cool way better. Firmware upgrades usually improve quite a few things. Also i've always been a fan of customization enhancements. Basically wallpapers, icons packs etc. To start do you have a tablet and if you do what is the make and model?
