Known Issues with MID7005-4G

Post by tipstir on Thu Dec 02, 2010 3:36 pm

Wakes up" every few minutes when in standby mode
Pictures stretch and I look fat in landscape mode (don't know if this is fixable by software or not)
Sometimes web pages zoom in or out when I don't want them to (others have attested to this, it is sometimes hard to control)

Memory Leaks -
Doesn't report 256MB it only shows 140MB then apps load the memory drops down to 94MB.
To recover some, used Memory Booster Lite got 112MB Free but the same process happens again.

Fonts Size
Way to Large
Failed to force the fonts go from normal to very small. Works then reverts back.

Menu Size
Way to Large

Icons Size
Way to Large
Fixed by using Launcher Pro

Battery Dies
Charging helps but battery doesn't last long
Fixed by using Battery Lite

Coby reports that you can only charge and discharge the battery only 300 times before the battery fails to charge anymore.

Box reports CPU wrong
800MHz where it's only 720MHz

Internal Storage
4G of NAND IS (internal storage)
2.7GB is available for use after Coby had pasted a cut out sticker to the box saying 2.7GB was available only.

No File Manager
Fix download from AppLib or install Android ADB drivers from this site, SDK and Droid Explorer to install a new File Manager
Using Applib and search for a file manager to use to install and use your SD card

HDMI Output
Connecting the the device to your HDMI port on your HDTV
You must select either 1200x720p (for HDTV that supports 720p) or 1920x1080p (for HDTV that supports 1080p)
HDMI output must be selected correctly to get video playback on the HDTV or back on your tablet. Tablet needs to be set to "None"
