Which ROM to flash before returning to Walgreens

Post by maestroteague on Tue Nov 23, 2010 8:22 am

Well, I've finally made the decision to take this one back to Walgreens. I was thinking of moving toward a 10" for a couple of applications I need to use a tablet for that the 7" is just too small. Then over the weekend I played with a galaxy tab and and ipad. I'm still not going to pay 500-600 for a tablet - just can't justify that when I could buy 3 netbooks for the same price (and I know they're not the same, just putting it in perspective). So I'm gonna take it back and wait until spring when I anticipate the real tablet wars will begin and lots of Froyo and Gingerbread tablets will be out.

Sooooooooo, my question is, which rom should I flash onto the unit before I return it to Walgreens? I know that we don't have a true stock rom. Part of me says leave the fastest one on there that I've found, and if they sell it in store reduced open box, the next person would be grateful to have the fastest or best rom that's out there. However, the other part of me says that if might really freak someone out if they do that and it's completely different from what they see on the box, in the manual, on the website, etc. So what do you recommend?
Thanks in advance

I figured the local Walgreens would try to sell it as open box. That's why I was wanting to "fix it" before returning.

That's not actually the rom on the pad when we bought it, is it?

No, but as of now, the factory Maylong is not available. That will be as close as you get. All functions work perfect with that ROM.

Walgreens most likely wont even check if it has been rooted i would just put a rom on it that has no camera and say the camera wont work. Razz
