Need Help with Panimage R79RT2w5

Post by busyone5 on Tue Jan 31, 2012 4:24 pm

My wife received a PanImage R79RT2W5 tablet for Christmas. She hates it. It won't play YOUTUBE, she can't access Facebook, (which is one of the main things she wants) and its slow as cold syrup. What EXACTLY do I need to upgrade to for the OS, and what do I need to do to get access to Android Market? I've read a lot on this forum, but it gets confusing as to which OS I need to upgrade to, and exactly how to do it. The tablet:
Panimage R79RT2W5
7" with 2gb
firmware: 1.6
Kernel 2.6.29
Build number WMT2.1.6_PD_N

Thanks to anyone with information. I know many people sacrifice a lot of time to post these things and it is appreciated.

I have the same tablet and am just learning. I put the honeycomb v2.0 on mine. Search for it here and you will find threads that tell you how to install it. The tablet still isn't that fast but I have alot to learn about these things.

Good luck.

Please be aware that Bulldog is still android 1.6 but tweaked.

Although it and Honeycomb are much better than standard, you can't get a quart out of a pint pot.

Hardware is the main limitation and only the later tablets can run flash & proper YouTube.
