problem opening books with elocity 7 and aldiko

Hi! I have a new elocity 7 and love it..however just last night I have not been able to open any books using the aldiko app that came with the elocity....I never had any problems like this before.....the books will download but they only show the covers and a message saying opening chapter but there is nothing but a blank screen....I heard there was an update for aldiko...anyone heard about that?Also. I am having no trouble with my kindle app...only the aldiko...I haven't done any updates on the elocity yet....but I don't think that is what is wrong here because the kindle app is working fine...thanks for any help....yazziegoforth

Hi Tipster! thanks so much for your quick response .....what do you mean exactly about you having the other version?The tablet is still not opening with the preinsstalled aldiko...also I I now have issues with having to touch several times to get to the next page when I am on a website....I don't know what's going on but I hope I can get this resolved or I will be returning it soon....what a shame...it has been a really great tablet for 3 weeks but when you start having issues like this it might be time to send it back and either get a replacement or wait to get a different tablet..I mainly wanted an ereader but this elocity does so much more and I have already returned a pan digital and a nextbook 3....I haven't done the updates yet or a factory reset...maybe I should do that? thanks in advance....yazziegoforth

tipster, I check out your post on the file above and it said that it was down right now, try again later. I didn't know if you were aware of it or not so I thought I would just drop a note to let you know. Is it down because of you supplying more info or because of web issues. Just thought you would like to know about it. When I get my replacement tablet( hopefully) how will this download improve the tablet? I'm curious and would like to know that's all.

I had a problem with the Aldiko app that was factory installed. It DL-ed book covers, the first few pages and some illustrations, but the rest was gibberish: mostly symbols and numbers. Just DL the updated app from www,elocitynow.com and perhaps this will solve the problem.

This happened with another pre-installed app on mine, but I can't remember whether it was IMDB or something else. It was an easy fix.

Hi Keriga...I still have the issue with the aldiko and so I will be inerested to know if the one you downloaded from the elocity site works....did you go by the instructions on how to download the app from their site or is there another way that you downloaded yours? I am new to all this downloading stuff and I just don't want to mess anything up on the table....thanks in advance...yazzie
