Font Size....how to change it.

Post by gigisboy52 on Sat Jan 29, 2011 11:18 am

I can't figure out is how to change the font size. I read my books using the Kindle app that was pre-loaded onto the tablet, and thought that the menu icon would have "font size" on it. I've looked at the settings page, and cannot find it there.

Also, with the Kindle app, it doesn't tell you what page you are on. It will tell you what percentage of the book you've read, but not the page.

All in all, I like this table a lot better than the 2 Nextbooks that I've had, and the Archos 7 tablet that I tried out. I even like it better than my sisters iPad.

Hi There!

The Kindle app that came installed on the A7 is not the latest version. The version that came installed is 1.somethingortheother. The newest version is 2.0.2.102300153.

I pulled the latest version off my phone. If you don't have an Android phone, you may be able to find it by searching around the internet.

In the new version, when you are in your book, if you tap "Menu" then tap "View Options", you can change the font and the setting there. I haven't seen something that will tell you what page you are on, just your position in the book.

Unfortunately, I don't remember if the older version lets you change the font or where the setting is.

A rep from eLocity emailed me and showed me how to increase the font size.

Sure....now this is for using the Kindle app that was installed on the device.

From the home page, tap on Kindle
Tap on the book that you are reading
Tap on Menu on the bezel, then tap on View Options
From there, on the top of the pop-up, there are 5 different sizes of fonts. Tap on the font that you prefer.
