Steps To Take If You Are Returning Your Nextbook

Post by Daisimae on Wed Jan 12, 2011 6:18 pm

First, remove your SD card from the SD card slot. If you put one in there.

Second, get your stuff and settings out of the internal memory by restoring the tablet to factory settings. To get there, on the Next3, get into your settings, tap "Privacy". Then tap the line that says "Factory Data Reset". If you have a Next2. The line to reset your tablet to factory settings is in the "SD card & NextBook storage" menu. Tap that line to find the "Factory Data Reset" line.

Lastly, after you are back to factory settings, de-authorize your Adobe ID for books. That should be in the first list when you tap "Settings". You may have to scroll down to view that line. The last step is easy to forget.

If you are mourning the loss of your electronic best friend, as I am. We can help each other find another one or wait it out until another Nextbook comes out. Hopefully the newer tablets won't have the same issues and will have a microphone and at least run Android 2.2. (I know, I know I sound like a broken record.)

I'm not going anywhere. I think I can remember enough to answer questions until I try out the Next4. Very Happy

HSN has finally send me the Pre-Paid UPS label to send this defective Next3 back! I'll send it out sometime this week.

Factory Reset is the best one make sure you have AC going in, I did try it on DC works too. It's out of here on Tuesday! Had fun with this one it looks great thin can do 720p HD, but the browser has to be Factory REset! You can't install another browser going to do the same.
