Hello again,

does any1 have some suggestion on this problem?
If not, I have to send this back to QVC for a replacement...

Btw, I tried the new WMT2.16_105_LF-A_V1.0B5_script and it installed without a problem. The camera does not work as before but did not expected too.
This script is much better then the org.

If the camera process keeps failing and stilll fails after a known working script is installled, then i'm afraid it is a hardware problem.
QVC will just have to replace it.....

I honestly don't think this is a hardware issue. Even though you probably already sent it back by now. It could just be the firmware. I would've waited for B6. Hope you get a better tablet. Wink

I know this thread is a week or two old, but I was curious what the expectations are concerning the camera and future developments of 2.1.6 ROMs. It barely worked when it arrived out of the box, it was so choppy, and of course as I tried out different ROMs I pretty much assumed it was just going to be axed. Anyway, I installed one of the new ROMs last night, and for some reason I tried out the camera app one more time, and it worked better than I'd ever seen it work ... BUT, it was only working within that stupid horrible app that came with the tablet, know what I mean? where its got all the different "frames" you can put your picture in taking up half the screen? ... eh, anyway, I hate it. I tried Barcode Scanner and Savvy Shopper, but no luck there. I was just curious if you think any real camera use, if any at all, will be confined to within that OEM app, or do you think maybe we will be able to use something like Barcode Scanner with it, outside of that OEM app? It's not a priority, I was just curious and thinking about it last night ...

Best rom won't let you use the camera. You would need to the second or third rom in a group from me. Example default rom in the Black Edition won't use the camera. Half and Full version camera is available and active.

Awesome, thank you! I may try it out tonight if I get bored ... I like the 1st ROM so far, but I dont think I'll miss anything big going for the 2nd, if it means I can use the Barcode Scanner to help me sort books ... thank you sir!

Re: Multiple, annoying issues with Panimage Tablet by: Shea 54 on Feb. 27, 2011. Am new to these wifi tablets and I think I started out with a real lemon, but was all I could afford at the time. I would appreciate any advice to be given regarding downloading videos, music and now it tells me my gMail acct is unsafe! Have to go thru the back door to access my regular emaiil acct because it won't let me set it up! Not real familiar with ethernet either; have to buy a cable because it did not come with one. Will be watching your website very closely and hope I can figure it out. Thanks for the welcome!
